Bigfoot is a 2 1/2 ton truck with two 600 gallon tanks, a pressure
pump, and a separate drafting pump. This provides the ability to draw water
from any available water source for resupply, which is crucial where fire
hydrants do not exist. The primary source of water is Little River and
its tributaries. This has been used for heavy rescue work. This truck
can fill its own tanks at about 150gpm, and can resupply at about the same
rate with a 5HP pump, or can nurse using a 2 1/2" connection. Pressure
pump driven by an 11HP motor, supplies a 3/4" booster reel and a 1 1/2"
preconnect hose. .This truck was painted by the Vo-Tech in Hugo, and a
good job they did, even though we hated seeing the camouflage go away. |
