Entry Fee is $10.00 per entry,
$8.00 if you bring cornbread or crackers
First Prize - $50.00 cash
prize plus one year's dues paid to start after current dues have expired
Second Prize - $30.00
Third Prize - $20.00
First, second, and third
place will receive ribbons and certificates

Rules:
Each entry should bring a pan of cornbread or small
box of crackers.
Each entry must provide a list of ingredients on
the card provided and display it in front of the chili.
Your name must be on the back of your ingredient
card.
Chili must not come from a can or purchased made
from a store or restaurant.
Each contestant must have made his or her entry.
You may use any recipe, such as family, cookbook,
magazine, etc.
No road kill allowed.
Chili must be made at home and brought in a crock-pot
or other means of keeping the chili warm (propane stove, Coleman stove,
etc.).
Must have 10-12 serving minimum, no maximum on quantity.
Each entry will be assigned a contestants number
by the chief scorekeeper and given the official judge cups. Contests
should confirm that their number is the same as the number on the bottom
of the cups.
Each contestant is responsible to fill their cups
half way full, to be picked up by the assigned person.
Each judge will be instructed to vote for the chili
that they like best based on taste, appearance, and texture. Chili
will be judged on a scale of 1 to 5 in each category.
After judging samples have been collected, chili
will be made available to the general public.
A completed entry form
and the entry fee must be submitted to a member of the department no later
than 1-hour before the judging of the chili. Checks should be payable
to the Honobia Volunteer Fire Department.
