The Fire Department has filed for incorporation with
the Oklahoma Secretary of State as the Honobia Volunteer Fire Department,
Inc. The name was chosen at the May board meeting, and the certificates
filed the same week. |

The recent ham dinner brought in over $200.00 to the
fire department, and the Pie Auction brought in some needed funds for the
old schoolhouse project. Many thanks to those that came out for the dinner
and auction, and to those that helped with everything. The auction was
a hoot, with several yummy pies being offered for auction. Most unusual
was the $17.00 honey bun, donated by members of the Beggs Fire Department
visiting the area. |
